Dartmouth

Dartmouth, on the south coast of Devon, is an ancient coastal town brimming with boutique shops, galleries and delicatessens. The town’s market place is home to many interesting stalls selling all sorts of local produce and crafts. Enjoy a trip to Paignton aboard Dartmouth Steam Railway, or perhaps a round of golf at Dartmouth Golf and Country Club. Discover the 600 year history of the town’s castle, or why not take a trip out of the town and visit one of the many National Trust properties and gardens in the area, including Coleton Fishacre – a magical coastal garden and house. There are some beautiful beaches in the area, including award-winning Blackpool Sands and Torcross, where a wide variety of watersports are available. There are also many boat hire companies in the area – providing the perfect opportunity for a bit of sightseeing, fishing or birdwatching. Just a short distance from the town are Torquay’s Coastal Zoo and Paignton Zoo.
