Hartland

The Hartland Peninsula on the north coast of Devon is home to some spectacular scenery, wildlife and walks. As well as 12 miles of coastline, the area has open moorland, woodland and waterfalls, and has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Places of historic interest include Hartland Abbey and gardens, and St Nectan’s Church, and the area is also home to many artists, potters and furniture makers. The village has a number of shops as well as a post office and several pubs. Each August, the village hosts Hartland Carnival, which includes a fairground, Family Fun Night and a procession.
