If you are looking for a guide to Cornwall, you are in the right place. This site is your guide to beaches, gardens, places to eat and the best attractions in Cornwall. The site is being developed as an aid for visitors to Cornwall and is a resource for guests with useful information on staying in Cornwall. We will continue to add to this Cornwall guide so that your stay in Cornwall is as enjoyable as possible. Running in conjunction with the website, all Cornish Cottage Holidays guests will receive a Stay card prior to their holiday. This card will entitle them to discounts for many of the region's top attractions.

    The little village of Cadgwith has two small pebble beaches.

  • Carlyon Bay Beach, St Austell

    This long sandy beach is currently being re-developed but it remains open to the public throughout this development.

  • Carne Beach and Pendower Beach, near Veryan

    Carne beach and Pendower beach make up a mile-long stretch of sand near Veryan.

  • Constantine Bay Beach, Padstow

    This beach has a reputation as being one of the best surfing beaches in Cornwall.

  • Coverack Beach, Coverack

    Coverack beach is sandy with pebbles.

  • Crantock Beach, Newquay

    Crantock Beach is sandy and, at low tide, quite extensive.

  • Daymer Bay Beach, Daymer Bay

    Daymer Bay beach is sandy and has rock pools in the north of the bay.

  • Downderry Beach, Looe

    Downderry is a large sand/shingle beach which has many rock pools at low tide.

  • Duckpool Beach, Bude

    This beach is made up of mainly small rocks and pebbles, however there is some sand at low tide.

  • Fistral Beach, Newquay

    Fistral Beach is large and sandy.

  • Gillan Harbour Beach, Gillan

    This small and sandy cove is close to the Helford Estuary and is popular with small boat owners.

  • Gorran Haven, Mevagissey

    This beach is sandy and popular with families.

  • Hannafore Beach, Looe

    Hannafore Point is a long rocky beach which has slopes and steps down to the beach.

  • Harlyn Bay Beach, Padstow

    This beach is a reasonable size and is popular with both surfers and families.

  • Hemmick Beach, near Mevagissey

    Hemmick beach is a pretty sandy beach, however there are no facilities and there is parking for just a few cars by the beach.

    This beach is large and sandy with dunes.

  • Kennack Sands (East), Kennack Sands

    Kennack Sands is a very popular beach as it is sandy and has several rock pools.

    This beach is made up of shingle with some sand.

  • Lamorna Cove Beach, Lamorna

    This is a small pebble beach, on the South West Coast Path between Porthcurno and Mousehole.

    The beautiful white sands at Lantic Bay Beach are sheltered by the surrounding coves.

  • Lantivet Bay Beach, near Fowey

    This small sandy beach near Lansallos has parking at a National Trust car park at Polruan.

  • Loe Bar Beach, Porthleven

    This beach is sandy with grassy areas.

  • Mullion Cove Beach, Mullion Cove

    Mullion Cove beach is small and sandy.

  • Nanjizel Beach, near Land's End

    Nanjizel beach is a beautiful beach with white sand and beautiful views.

  • Northcott Mouth Beach, Bude

    This beach has pebbles as well as sand, as well as some rock pools.

  • Par Sands Beach, Fowey

    This is a wide sandy beach which is popular with families.

  • Perranporth Beach, Perranporth

    This beach is sandy and stretches for two miles.

  • Plaidy Beach, Looe

    This is a small sandy beach which also has rock pools.

  • Polridmouth Beach, Fowey

    Polridmouth has two sandy beaches which join together at low tide.

  • Polstreath Beach, Mevagissey

    This beach is sandy with some pebbles.

  • Porthallow Beach, Porthallow

    Porthallow beach is a pebble beach with a pub and toilets very close by.

  • Porthbeor Beach, near St Mawes

    Porthbeor beach, owned by the National Trust, is sandy and sheltered, and is good for swimming.

  • Porthcothan Bay Beach, Padstow

    This is a popular family beach which has plenty of sand at low tide, as well as some sand dunes.

  • Porthcurnick Beach, near Portscatho

    Porthcurnick Beach is wide and sandy with some rock pools.

  • Portheras Cove, near Pendeen

    Portheras Cove has a pleasant white sand beach.

  • Porthkidney Beach, Lelant

    Porthkidney beach is large and sandy, and lies just in front of the dunes at Lelant.

  • Porthleven Beach (East), Porthleven

    Porthleven has a long sand and shingle beach which stretches for 3 miles, down to Loe Bar and Gunwalloe Fishing Cove.

  • Porthluney Beach, Caerhays

    This beach is sheltered and sandy, and has a shop and toilets closeby.

  • Porthoustock Beach, Porthoustock

    This pebble beach is popular with divers as there are lots of shipwrecks in the area.

  • Portmellon Beach, Mevagissey

    Portmellon is a small sandy cove, with access via a slipway.

  • Sandymouth Beach, Bude

    This is a large pebble beach which has sand at low tide.

  • Seaton Beach, Seaton

    This large beach is very popular with families as it has level access and facilities nearby.

  • Summerleaze Beach, Bude

    Summerleaze Beach is the nearest beach to Bude.

  • Talland Bay Beach, Looe

    Talland Bay is a shingle beach with some rock pools.

  • Towan Beach, near St Mawes

    This good-sized beach is made up of sand and pebbles, and has rock pools at low tide.

  • Trebarwith Strand Beach, Boscastle

    A wide sandy beach, popular with both families and surfers.

  • Trevaunance Cove, St Agnes

    Also known as St Agnes beach, Trevaunance Cove is sandy and popular with surfers.

  • Treyarnon Bay Beach, Treyarnon

    Treyarnon Bay beach is very popular with families as it is sandy and has lots of rock pools.

  • Watergate Bay Beach, Newquay

    Watergate Bay Beach is a mile long and is renowned for good surfing conditions.

  • West Portholland Beach, near Portloe

    Portholland beach is large and sandy, and joins East and West Portholland.

  • Whitsand Bay Beach, Whitsand Bay

    This beach is arguably South East Cornwall's best beach, with 3 miles of golden sand.
