If you are looking for a guide to Cornwall, you are in the right place. This site is your guide to beaches, gardens, places to eat and the best attractions in Cornwall. The site is being developed as an aid for visitors to Cornwall and is a resource for guests with useful information on staying in Cornwall. We will continue to add to this Cornwall guide so that your stay in Cornwall is as enjoyable as possible. Running in conjunction with the website, all Cornish Cottage Holidays guests will receive a Stay card prior to their holiday. This card will entitle them to discounts for many of the region's top attractions.

    This is a large sandy beach dotted with large rocks.

  • Cadgwith Beaches, Cadgwith

    The little village of Cadgwith has two small pebble beaches.

  • Carbis Bay Beach, St Ives

    *BLUE FLAG BEACH* Carbis Bay Beach is large and sheltered with beautiful white sand.

  • Carlyon Bay Beach, St Austell

    This long sandy beach is currently being re-developed but it remains open to the public throughout this development.

  • Carne Beach and Pendower Beach, near Veryan

    Carne beach and Pendower beach make up a mile-long stretch of sand near Veryan.

  • Castle Beach, Falmouth

    This beach is sandy with some rocks.

  • Chapel Porth Beach, St Agnes

    The beach is sandy and of a considerable size at low tide, but becomes very limited and rocky at high tide.

  • Charlestown Beach, St Austell

    Charlestown is a working port which has small pebble beaches running alongside the harbour.

  • Constantine Bay Beach, Padstow

    This beach has a reputation as being one of the best surfing beaches in Cornwall.

    Coverack beach is sandy with pebbles.

  • Crackington Haven Beach, Bude

    A small sandy beach which is popular with families.

  • Crantock Beach, Newquay

    Crantock Beach is sandy and, at low tide, quite extensive.

  • Crooklets Beach, Bude

    *BLUE FLAG BEACH* This large bay beach has a Blue Flag award and is very popular with families.

  • Daymer Bay Beach, Daymer Bay

    Daymer Bay beach is sandy and has rock pools in the north of the bay.

  • Downderry Beach, Looe

    Downderry is a large sand/shingle beach which has many rock pools at low tide.

  • Duckpool Beach, Bude

    This beach is made up of mainly small rocks and pebbles, however there is some sand at low tide.

  • Fistral Beach, Newquay

    Fistral Beach is large and sandy.

  • Gillan Harbour Beach, Gillan

    This small and sandy cove is close to the Helford Estuary and is popular with small boat owners.

    Godrevy beach is a long sandy beach which joins Gwithian Towans beach at low tide.

    This beach is sandy and popular with families.

    This is a huge and sandy beach which stretches from the Hayle Estuary to Gwithian Towans.

  • Gyllyngvase Beach, Falmouth

    *BLUE FLAG BEACH* This beach is Falmouth's largest beach and is sandy.

  • Hannafore Beach, Looe

    Hannafore Point is a long rocky beach which has slopes and steps down to the beach.

  • Harlyn Bay Beach, Padstow

    This beach is a reasonable size and is popular with both surfers and families.

  • Hayle Towans, Hayle

    Hayle Sands is a 3 mile sandy beach that stretches from the Hayle Estuary to Gwithian Towans.

    Hemmick beach is a pretty sandy beach, however there are no facilities and there is parking for just a few cars by the beach.

  • Holywell Bay Beach, Newquay

    This beach is large and sandy with dunes.

  • Kennack Sands (East), Kennack Sands

    Kennack Sands is a very popular beach as it is sandy and has several rock pools.

    This beach is made up of shingle with some sand.

    This is a small pebble beach, on the South West Coast Path between Porthcurno and Mousehole.

    The beautiful white sands at Lantic Bay Beach are sheltered by the surrounding coves.

    This small sandy beach near Lansallos has parking at a National Trust car park at Polruan.

    This beach is sandy with grassy areas.

  • Perranuthnoe Beach, near Marazion

    Perranuthnoe Beach, also known as Perran Sands, is a sand and pebble beach which becomes almost completely covered at high tide.

  • Plaidy Beach, Looe

    This is a small sandy beach which also has rock pools.

  • Polkerris Beach, Fowey

    Polkerris Beach is small and sandy.

  • Polridmouth Beach, Fowey

    Polridmouth has two sandy beaches which join together at low tide.

    This beach is sandy with some pebbles.

  • Porth Beach, Newquay

    Porth Beach is large and sandy, on the outskirts of Newquay.

    Porthallow beach is a pebble beach with a pub and toilets very close by.

  • Porthbeor Beach, near St Mawes

    Porthbeor beach, owned by the National Trust, is sandy and sheltered, and is good for swimming.

    This beach is very sheltered as it is surrounded by cliffs.

    This is a popular family beach which has plenty of sand at low tide, as well as some sand dunes.

    This beach is well sheltered due to the high cliffs on either side of it, and is therefore very popular with families.

    Portheras Cove has a pleasant white sand beach.

  • Porthgwidden Beach, St Ives

    Porthgwidden is a small but popular sandy beach.

  • Porthkidney Beach, Lelant

    Porthkidney beach is large and sandy, and lies just in front of the dunes at Lelant.

  • Porthleven Beach (East), Porthleven

    Porthleven has a long sand and shingle beach which stretches for 3 miles, down to Loe Bar and Gunwalloe Fishing Cove.

  • Porthluney Beach, Caerhays

    This beach is sheltered and sandy, and has a shop and toilets closeby.

  • Porthmeor Beach, St Ives

    *BLUE FLAG BEACH* This is a large sandy beach, which has a surf school in the peak season.

    This beach stretches from Porthilly Cove to Daymer Bay and overlooks the Camel Estuary.

    This large beach is very popular with families as it has level access and facilities nearby.

    Portholland beach is large and sandy, and joins East and West Portholland.

    This beach is arguably South East Cornwall's best beach, with 3 miles of golden sand.
