If you are looking for a guide to Cornwall, you are in the right place. This site is your guide to beaches, gardens, places to eat and the best attractions in Cornwall. The site is being developed as an aid for visitors to Cornwall and is a resource for guests with useful information on staying in Cornwall. We will continue to add to this Cornwall guide so that your stay in Cornwall is as enjoyable as possible. Running in conjunction with the website, all Cornish Cottage Holidays guests will receive a Stay card prior to their holiday. This card will entitle them to discounts for many of the region's top attractions.


Coastal Footpaths

  • Basset's Cove to Portreath (1.5 miles - medium to difficult)

    Park your car at the Tehidy Country Park car park on the B3301, which runs along the coast.

  • Boscastle to Buckator (2.5 miles - medium difficulty)

    Parking can be found at the Cobweb car park in Boscastle.

  • Botallack to Pendeen (2 miles - medium difficulty)

    This is a relatively short path and can therefore be walked as a circular route back round to Botallack.

  • Bude Haven to Sandymouth (3 miles - difficult, not suitable for the less agile)

    Park your car in the car park beside the Tourist Information Centre in Bude.

  • Cape Cornwall to Botallack (2 miles - medium difficulty)

    There is parking at Cape Cornwall in a National Trust car park.

  • Chapel Porth to St Agnes (2 miles - medium difficulty)

    There is a small car park at Chapel Porth with a beach cafe and toilets.

  • Godrevy Point to Basset's Cove (4 miles - easy)

    Parking can be found at Godrevy Point on top of the cliff.

  • Gunwalloe to Mullion Cove (2.5 miles - medium difficulty)

    This path begins near Gunwalloe beach beside the golf links, and parking is available in the National Trust car park in the cove.

  • Hayle Towans to Lelant (3.5 miles - easy)

    *Please take note that this particular footpath involves a considerable amount of roadside walking.

  • High Cliff to Crackington Haven (2 miles - medium difficulty)

    There is a small layby near Trevigue Farm where you can leave your car.

  • Lamorna to Mousehole (2.5 miles - medium difficulty)

    This is a circular walk, starting and ending in Mousehole.

  • Land's End to Porthgwarra (4 miles - medium-difficult)

    Park at Land's End, in the pay and display car park at the visitor centre.

  • Land's End to Sennen Cove (1.5 miles - fairly easy)

    Land's End is the most westerly part of the British Isles and boasts some spectacular scenery.

  • Landewednack Church Cove to Kennack Sands (3 miles - medium-difficult)

    Free parking can be found at the Lizard Green - from here, follow the path along Beacon Terrace, passing the Lizard Pasty Shop, and down into Church Cove.

  • Maenporth to Falmouth (4.5 miles - medium difficulty)

    Park your car just behind Maenporth beach and get on to the coastal footpath, climbing upwards towards the kissing gate.

  • Maenporth to Rosemullion Head (2 miles - medium difficulty)

    Parking can be found just beyond the beach at Maenporth, and the path starts along High Cliff.

  • Mawgan Porth to Watergate Bay (2 miles - medium difficulty)

    Parking can be found in the village of Mawgan Porth behind the shops.

  • Mevagissey to Trenarren (4 miles - steep in parts)

    Park your car in the car park at Mevagissey and then walk down into the harbour.

  • Mousehole to Newlyn (1.5 miles - fairly easy)

    This is a relatively short and mainly level walk.

  • Mullion Cove to Kynance Cove (4.5 miles - medium-difficult)

    Parking can be found next to the Mullion Cove Hotel, from where the footpath is indicated down towards the harbour (some steps involved).

  • Newquay to Trevelgue Head (3 miles - easy)

    This walk involves mainly beach walking, and is therefore relatively flat and easy-going, although there are some steps to climb towards the end of the walk.

  • Padstow to Polzeath (3 miles - easy difficulty)

    There are plenty of car parks in Padstow, either in the town itself or on the quay.

  • Penzance to Marazion (3.5 miles - easy)

    This walk starts in the ancient market town of Penzance, near the station and Tourist Information Centre on the seafront.

  • Polkerris to Fowey (4.5 miles - medium difficulty)

    Parking can be found in the pay and display car park above Polkerris and head back down into the village.

  • Polperro to Talland Bay (2 miles - easy-medium difficulty)

    Park your car at the Crumplehorn car park above Polperro and start your walk near the harbour.

  • Port Isaac to Tregardock (5 miles - difficult)

    Parking can be found at Castle Rock car park in Port Isaac.

  • Porthallow to Gillan Creek (3.5 miles - easy-medium difficult)

    Park your car at Porthallow beach (pay and display) and start your path behind the beach where signposted.

  • Porthcurno to Land's End (3.5 miles - medium-difficult)

    This is a very pleasant walk with beautiful views - it does, however, involve some more difficult aspects involving climbing steps.

  • Porthleven to Gunwalloe Fishing Cove (5 miles - medium difficulty)

    This walk begins in the harbour at Porthleven and involves a considerable amount of cliff walking, so may not be suitable for the less able.

  • Porthluney beach to Dodman Point (3 miles - medium, but quite steep in parts)

    Park your car at Porthluney beach and make your way on to the road.

  • Porthtowan to Chapel Porth (1.5 miles - medium difficulty)

    At Porthtowan, parking can be found either in the large car park near the beach, or on the roadside.

  • Portreath to Porthtowan (4 miles - medium difficulty)

    Parking can be found in the large car park at Portreath beach, or along the roadside in the village.

  • Portscatho to Carne beach (4 miles - medium difficulty)

    Parking can be found above Porthcurnick beach at Portscatho.

  • Seaton to Portwrinkle (4 miles - easy to medium difficulty)

    Park your car at the large car park behind Seaton beach and then commence your journey by walking along the road towards Downderry.

  • St Ives to Carbis Bay (1.5 miles - medium difficulty)

    This walk begins at Porthmeor beach, where there is a pay and display car park.

  • Stanbury Mouth to Marsland Mouth (3 miles - difficult)

    Parking can be found either by Morwenstow Church or by the Bush Inn at Crosstown.

  • Tintagel to Trevalga (2.5 miles - medium difficulty)

    Parking can be found in the main car park in Fore Street, Tintagel.

  • Trevellas Porth to Perranporth (3 miles - medium difficulty)

    There is limited parking available at Trevellas Porth.

  • Treyarnon to Trevone (5 miles - medium difficulty)

    There is a large car park at Treyarnon.

  • West Looe to Seaton (4 miles - medium to difficult)

    Parking can be found at Millpool car park in West Looe.
