Jamaica Inn

The legendary coaching house of Jamaica Inn has stood on Bodmin Moor for over 400 years. Its most famous visitor, Daphne du Maurier, was so inspired by the Inn's history and atmosphere that she chose to write about the Inn in arguably her most famous novel. Today the Inn is home to one of the most extensive collections of smuggling artefacts in the country. The Inn serves meals every day between 12 noon and 9pm, and breakfast/snacks between 9am and 11am. There is also a gift shop which sells, amongst other items, many of Daphne du Maurier's books and glassware.
