The Court Room Experience

The Court Room Experience, in the Shire Hall, Bodmin, provides the chance to become a jury member for a day. The case is that of Matthew Weeks, who was charged in 1844 of murdering a local girl on Bodmin Moor. This attraction offers a unique insight into what it would have been like to be on trial in the 19th century, and includes a visit to the holding cells, where Matthew Weeks would have been held whilst awaiting his fate. The Court Room Experience runs hourly sessions between 11am and 3pm every day except Sundays.
