Charlestown Shipwreck and Heritage Centre

This centre is home to the largest collection of shipwreck and historical artefacts on display in Europe. The centre portrays life in Charlestown and the shipwrecks that have occurred in the area over the past few centuries. There is also one of the largest underwater diving equipment collections in the country. There are exhibits outside the centre, including the RNLB Amelia, which visitors can board and look around. Inside, World War losses and treasures can be viewed, as well as artefacts from lost Ocean Liners. The Bosuns Diner is located just above the centre, and a gift shop sells maritime souvenirs and Cornish goodies such as fudge and cards. The Shipwreck Centre is open from the beginning of March until the beginning of November from 10am until 5pm.
