Gunwalloe to Mullion Cove (2.5 miles - medium difficulty)

This path begins near Gunwalloe beach beside the golf links, and parking is available in the National Trust car park in the cove. From the beach, the track goes forward up the slope to a car park just above Poldhu Cove. From here, Poldhu Residential Home is clearly visible on the other side of the cove. Come down into the cove and head up the other side towards the residential home (using the private road), taking the path to the right just before you reach the home. Continue along this path and you will pass Poldhu Point and Angrouse Cliff. Further on, you will pass the Marconi Monument, Guglielmo Marconi proved, in 1901, that radio waves could be transmitted around the world - he did this by sending the letter S from his station at Poldhu to a receiver in Newfoundland, America. After passing the monument, continue along the cliff to Meres Cliff, at which point, bear right down to Polurrian Cove. Either walk across the beach here, or take the footbridge. Make your way up the other side of the cove and pass some bungalows and a Coastal Lookout Station. Your journey ends at the Mullion Cove Hotel just ahead.
