Polkerris to Fowey (4.5 miles - medium difficulty)

Parking can be found in the pay and display car park above Polkerris and head back down into the village. Turn left past a building signed 'JCSR1912'. Where the path forks, bear left and go up the hill. Follow the signs up the steps and on through a wooded area. After this the path continues into a field; here you should bear right where signed, through a kissing gate into the next field. Follow the path down to a further kissing gate above a cove. This is followed by a further kissing gate and a stile. Continue on towards Little Gribbin, crossing another stile and passing Platt beach. You will come to another stile now; after this, continue on the path. At the fork in the path, bear right and go through the next kissing gate. Head towards the tower then drop down towards Polridmouth. Ignoring the stile to the right, carry on through a further kissing gate and across several boardwalks to Polridmouth beach. The path will fork again here; take the path to the right and walk on to another beach with a lake. Cross this lake using the stepping stones, and then bear off to the right just before reaching the large metal gate. Continue on up the path and climb another stile to get into the field. Walk along the right hand side of the field to the gate, and then continue following the path along Southground Cliffs. You will reach a boardwalk and stile; carry on through another kissing gate and down the steps to Coombe Haven. Leave Coombe Haven via the steep steps and over another stile into a field. Pass the 'Alldays' plinth and leave the field through the kissing gate. Now ignore the path to the right and continue straight on. The path will then take you down through woodland to join the road at Readymoney Cove.
