Hayle Towans to Lelant (3.5 miles - easy)

*Please take note that this particular footpath involves a considerable amount of roadside walking.* This walk starts at Hayle Towans, where parking can be found beside the dunes. To get to the dunes, drive through the town of Hayle from the Loggans Moor roundabout just off the westbound A30. After passing a Co-operative store, a library and a garage on the right, you will see a small bridge to the right of the road, with signs for an outdoor swimming pool. Philps' bakery will be straight ahead of you. Go right here, over the bridge, and park your car over on the left near the dunes. Now walk back over the bridge to the road to start your walk. Follow the road to the right, passing the bakery, and continue straight ahead past the small harbour to your right. Upon reaching the viaduct, take the footpath to the right, leading you away from the roundabout. Then take the path near the Jewsons showroom, following it towards Carnsew Pool. Carnsew Pool and Hayle Estuary are very popular with bird watchers as the area has been designated an RSPB nature reserve. Continue on the path beside the estuary until you meet the road which travels along the causeway. Follow this road along, ending your walk at the Old Quay House Inn.
