Bude Haven to Sandymouth (3 miles - difficult, not suitable for the less agile)

Park your car in the car park beside the Tourist Information Centre in Bude. From the car park, walk into the town and across to Summerleaze beach. Continue on behind the cafe and join the path above the Sea Pool. Follow the path until you come to Crooklets beach cafe. Pass Wrangle Point and follow the path to the left, which takes you down to the beach. Rejoin the path and walk along Maer High Cliff, where you will pass a kissing gate. Continue on the path towards the field at the top of the cliff. Go through another kissing gate. You will now be very close to the cliff edge so take care. You will come to Furzey Cove - a landslip where you should be extremely careful. There will be two paths leading down through a field - follow either and go through a gate behind the bungalow. Continue on the path as signed towards Sandymouth, to arrive at Northcott Mouth about an hour after starting your journey. Once at Northcott Mouth, take the steps up Menachurch Point (quite steep). The path continues above Westpark Pit and Sarshall's Pit coves and on to National Trust land above Houndapit Cliffs. From here, simply follow the path along to Sandymouth.
