Skydiving

Skydiving in Cornwall is for those adrenalin junkies who want to throw themselves out of an airplane or helicopter from a great height and view the amazing sight of Cornwall from the air. Jumps usually start from 10,000 feet and work their way up to around 14,000 feet. So depending on where you are jumping and the conditions you can generally choose how high you want to brave it. It is common to complete your first skydive as a tandem with an instructor, which involves 30 minutes ground training. Once you become braver you can try the static line course or the accelerated freefall (AFF) course for a solo jump, these involve 6 hours of ground training before heading up high to put your new knowledge into practice. Cornwall is such a picturesque county, so why not take in the stunning view from thousands of feet up in the air and observe the wonderful coastline and countryside all in one go. A top skydiving point in Cornwall is Perranporth - from 12,000 feet above Perranporth airfield, you can see Falmouth Bay, Padstow, Land's End and even Lizard Point. All lessons are given by qualified, experienced instructors who will take your through the safety procedures before flying you up into the blue and jumping out for a bird's eye view of Cornwall's magnificent coastline.
