The Gwithian Academy of Surfing is an Academy of Surfing Instructors Accredited Surf School (one of only three in Britain), based at Gwithian beach near Hayle. The Academy offers changing facilites, ample parking, surfing theory lessons and a shop. All instructors are qualified lifeguards and first aiders. From 1 April to 31 October, the Academy offers surfing lessons daily. Prices start at £30 and include the hire of a wetsuit and surfboard - and all lessons include a further one and a half hours' hire of wetsuit and surfboard free of charge. If you book two or more lessons, you will also receive a 10% loyalty card which is redeemable in the Academy's shop.
