St Ives Surf School, located on Porthmeor beach, is the only surf school in St Ives. The school is open 7 days a week and offers a range of surfing tuition for all levels of ability. All instructors are fully qualified Surfing GB instructors, CRB checked and trained beach lifeguards. They have a wealth of surfing experience - one of the instructors is the current English Champion (June 2013) and another is one of Europe's best big wave surfers. Prices start at £30 for a single lesson, and discounts are available for large groups, families, hen and stag dos, team building events and birthday parties. Equipment is provided free of charge, and the school have secure changing facilities and a shower. As well as surfing coaching, though, the school also offers tuition in stand-up paddle boarding and kayakin - from £35. They also hire out equipment, including hardboards, softboards, bodyboards, wetsuits, boots, SUPs and single and double kayaks. Visit the school's website below for more information and prices.
