Angarrack

Angarrack is a lovely little village near Hayle. The village is famous for its railway viaduct and Angarrack stream, but mainly for its annual Christmas light display. Angarrack Christmas Lights are arguably one of the best festive displays in Cornwall – the whole village gets involved in adding more lights each year, and sponsorship is provided in the form of donations and through fund raising events run throughout the year. The Angarrack Inn is under new management (as of April 2010) and serves delicious food, and the village hall offers a wide range of activities. Copies of local papers The West Briton and The Cornishman can be bought from the honesty box outside the pub. The village hosts many events throughout the year, including a Duck Race and the Race of Champions.
