Lynher Dairies produce Yarg Cornish Cheese and Wild Garlic Yarg Cornish Cheese. The cheese is made from the milk of the Lynher herd of Holstein/Friesian cows, and stinging nettles are used to give the cheeses their unique flavour. Stinging nettles are said to have detoxing effects on the body and have particular benefits for those suffering from arthritis. Lynher Dairies received 8 Gold awards for their cheeses in 2006, including awards from Taste of the West and World Cheese Awards.
