St Breward is located in a part of Cornwall from where local granite was taken to build the Tower Bridge, London in 1890. The village also boasts the highest church in Cornwall at approximately 700 feet. Next door to the church is the Old Inn, a pub which is almost 200 years old – and on the banks of the nearby De Lank River is King Arthur’s Hall, a building which is now almost 2000 years old. Two of Cornwall’s best known landmarks, Brown Willy and Rough Tor on Bodmin Moor, lie within the parish of St Breward – on a clear day, views across to both coasts of Cornwall can be enjoyed from Rough Tor.
