Trewoon is a village just outside St Austell. Trewoon has a pub which serves food, and a few small shops. There is also a cinema and an indoor swimming pool in the village. The Eden Project is just 5 miles from Trewoon; The Lost Gardens of Heligan are 6 miles away. This part of the coast is quite beautiful, with good sandy beaches at Carlyon Bay and Pentewan. The tiny fishing villages of Fowey and Charlestown are within easy reach, as is Truro, Cornwall’s only city and main shopping centre. Trewoon Carnival takes place each August.
