Launceston Castle
Once the administrative headquarters for the Earl of Cornwall, the 13th century Launceston Castle is set high upon a large natural mound - and enjoys wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding landscape! The castle was also once used as a prison and as a base for the Cornish Royalist defence. Now open to the public between April and the end of October each year.
