At Geevor Tin Mine, learn about extracting and processing tin, and take a guided tour through narrow 18th century mines. Above ground, visit the Miners' Dry - which has been left exactly as it was in 1990 when the last working miner left the site - and the Museum, which portrays the history of mining in Cornwall and what is was like to work in the mines. There is an onsite cafe, and a gift shop selling books, clothing and jewellery amongst other things. Geevor is open from 9am every day except Saturday throughout the year. There are fewer guided tours during the winter months. Please check with the mine for Christmas and New Year opening times. Dogs are welcome onsite above ground.
